QWASI is excited to work with Random Hacks of Kindness Jr to enable on demand technology education available to STEM students.
“COVID-19 has been a terrible blow to my nonprofit, but there have been silver linings. As a result of having to cancel our in-person events, we have transitioned to holding our programs virtually. I am looking forward to taking our virtual events to the next level with the help of QWASI. I am convinced the end result will be everything I could imagine and more.”

SOLUTION
Technology non-profit, RHOKJr, has collaborated with QWASI to bring technology to young people to empower them to learn programming skills and do good in their community.
QWASI is working with RHOKJr in activating their mentor training for their staff. Using the Virtual Events platform, RHOKJr is able to train its staff and then quiz them to ensure they are vetted correctly. This allows the children to receive the best experience possible and allows us to give back our technology to support causes like this for free.
THE EXPERIENCE
+ 360-degree view of mentor training procedures
+ Bespoke eLearning program for mentors and staff
The activation of this Virtual Experience will allow for individualized training programs, ensuring that the staff is trained to the standard of the business. This is done in two sections, the first of which involves giving the staff the necessary information to be able to help the children in the hackathons. The second section includes testing the staff to ensure they understand the information and give the children the best possible experience.
RHOKJr
RHOKJr brings young people hands-on learning experiences where they apply technology to achieve social good.
RHOKJr is a non-profit organization that provides one-day programs, “hackathons” to children in grades 4-8. The children are matched with representatives from local charities and computer science mentors to devise a technological solution to one of the charity’s needs. By providing these unique and interactive learning experiences, RHOKJr bridges the real world and the classroom to bring children exposure to computer science and a chance to use it in a way that will benefit their community.
